Mogadishu, Somalia – 25 April 2026 the Somali Medical Students Association (SOMSA) successfully held an important meeting with the chairpersons and representatives of medical student associations from universities across Mogadishu. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among medical student bodies, fostering greater unity within the medical student community, and exploring ways to enhance academic, professional, and leadership opportunities for medical students in Somalia. Participants engaged in constructive discussions on shared goals, collaborative initiatives, and strategies to promote student engagement and development. The meeting reaffirmed a collective commitment to building stronger partnerships and creating a more connected and empowered community of future healthcare professionals across the country.
